Destination Details

In the 1960’s, Rimini was one of the first beach resorts to attract tourists from other countries throughout Europe thus “the holiday was born”. Now it is one of the most famous seaside resorts in Europe, thanks to its prestigious nine mile long sandy beach, eight hundred hotels and one thousand bars, restaurants and nightclubs.

Rimini is situated in the province of Emilia Romagna, which is renowned to produce the best pasta in Italy along with the best chefs coming from this region.

The Rimini resort is split into two distinct areas, the “Old Town” and the “New Town”, the new town is where you will find an electric buzz especially throughout the summer months when the beaches are packed, the bars are buzzing and the beer is flowing.  The old town is some what more of a traditional little Italian town where you will find traditional shops, cafes, tavernas and a twice weekly market. Other popular excursions with groups staying in Rimini include the city of Bologna and the Republic of San Marino both which are just forty minutes away and well worth a visit.

Tennis in Rimini

Tennis is one of Italy’s top sports alongside Soccer and Basketball. Their  National players are always in the top 150 World ranking and Italy provides the second most prestigious clay event on the ATP circuit in the form of the Internatzionali BNL d’Italia which is held in Rome each May.

If you are interested in an alternative game of tennis then why not have a go at beach tennis which is played with paddle racquets and was invented by Italians.  This is a very popular sport and is often played along the nine miles of sandy beaches in Rimini.

Rimini has no shortage of tennis courts with seven courts situated adjacent to the Milton Hotel at Tennis Club Circolo, and a further six courts at Rimini Tennis Club, which is a fifteen minute walk from your hotel.

During the winter months the courts are covered and only four courts are available..

Court hire fees:
Outdoor courts: €14.00 per hour
Indoor courts: €22 per hour booking

During your stay, we will arrange for your club to compete in two tennis competitions against local clubs from the Riccione, Bologna and Rimini regions. TennisBall_20px_1 Click here fore more information
