Dining in Prague
Traditional Food & Beer
Traditional Czech food combines well with the flavourful Czech beer and mostly consists of pork or beef meat with sauce and a side dish. Other side dishes are rice, boiled, baked or fried potatoes. Czech people love Svičková (pronounced “svitch-co-va”) or Rajská (pronounced “raiska”), which is an interesting combination of meat with sauce and whipped cream. Chicken, duck, turkey, fish, rabbit and lamb are also used in some very tasteful Czech dishes including “goulash“.
